Still Life in Colour - learn about colour whilst making a still life painting

This guided workshop is intended for you to think about how you choose, mix and use colour to paint a still life, from start to finish, in a supportive context. Each person will produce a 30x30cm Still Life painting and supporting work.

We will:

• begin by talking through some basic colour principles and colour theory

• spend some time mixing colours

• sketch out some composition options to plan and gain confidence

• choose and prepare a palette

• do a quick preliminary painting to map your piece and

• finally, paint your finished canvas/board.
