I have worked with a range of clients from individual authors to government departments, charities, organisations in the private and public sector, and frontline service user groups.
I specialise in matters relating to health and social care; education; disability and learning disability; ADHD and autism; nursing and child-related care, and have a Masters Degree in Child Studies from Kings College London.
I offer content consultation, commissioning and project management of manuscripts from conception to publication, including arranging marketing and design.

Providing structural and content consultancy and editorial services for organisations and publishers across the public and private sectors, on reports, training and resource materials in health and social care. Independent panellist, NMC Conduct and Competence Committee, Fitness to Practise (2008-2016)
The role required me to work positively and collaboratively with two other members of an independent panel, and a legal assessor, to review charges, evidence and all other submitted material, to determine a finding on a nurse's fitness to practise and, beyond that, an appropriate sanction to address this finding. To do this, I had to stay up-to-date with the legal boundaries of the process, pertinent case law, and all relevant and appropriate legal and professional guidance. The role included the essential mapping of conduct to competencies and the nursing Code of Practice, applying it to clinical realities and context.
Chair of Trustees, Fiveways Playcentre, Brighton (2019-22)
As Chair of Trustees I had oversight, management and support responsibilities for this charity which provides childcare for a range of children of all backgrounds and needs from the local area. Highlights of the role included responding to Covid restrictions and supporting staff through the pandemic, including understanding and implementing government guidelines, managing furlough, dealing with staff changes and issues, and general day-to-day running of the playcentre; also overseeing a restructure and recruitment of management following the retirement of the former managers.
